Replacing Lithium’s Tradeoffs With Sodium’s Abundance.
Long-lasting, fire-safe batteries built for any environment.
UNIGRID NCO Technology
A sodium-ion chemistry built to close the gaps lithium-ion left open: no fire risk, no capacity fade, and no limits on where it can perform.
We utilize abundant sodium materials instead of rare materials such as lithium, cobalt, nickel, or copper.
No risk of fire during transportation or storage, and no fire propagation. Vent safely during failure.
Power on demand, not just stored energy. UNIGRID’s Power Cell Series delivers pulse discharge up to 30C for UPS and peak demand shaving.
LFP fails at 3,000–4,000 cycles, Our NCO technology delivers up to 10,000 cycles at 80% retention — 25-year asset life and decades of dependable ROI.
Reliable power without cooling requirements. Built to perform under cold and hot conditions (-40°C to 60°C, Fully Passive).

- For your reference, technical data and specifications for UNIGRID® cells are available on our website.
- All prismatic cells MUST be tested using a pressure jig to apply stack pressure during operation. Examples are provided in the spec sheets. Contact manufacturer if you require a jig test setup.
- Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) should be used at all times. Avoid contact with eyes and skin, ingestion, and inhalation of vapors. Ensure adequate ventilation during use.
- Refer to the Cell Data Sheet for safe handling and hazard information.
- If provided, it is recommended to follow the test plan provided by UNIGRID® or as discussed.
- Do not charge or discharge beyond the manufacturer’s recommended voltage limits. Operation beyond the recommended limits may result in fire/explosion safety hazards.
- Do not exceed the manufacturer’s recommended charging and discharging current. Operation beyond the recommended limits may result in fire/explosion safety hazards.
- Do not subject cells to mechanical, physical, or thermal abuse without prior consultation with the manufacturer. Abuse conditions beyond the recommended limits may result in fire/explosion safety hazards.

A Na⁺ Casa on a wall with its cover off. While the mains is on, the inverter feeds the house and charges the cells. Cut the mains and the sixteen cells carry the house through the inverter, so the lamp never goes out.
- Sixteen 210 Ah sodium-ion cells in series, 9.25 kWh
- Battery management board above the cells
- Green lines show power flowing: mains, inverter, Casa, house
A delivery truck at -40 °C. Start it and the view zooms under the hood to its Na⁺ Fleet, front cut away: the key turns, the cells send current to the starter, and the engine catches.
- Sixty 3270 sodium-ion cells: 12 V, 60 Ah
- Rated to discharge down to -40 °C
- 960 cold cranking amps (rated at -18 °C)
An office building with solar on its roof keeps a Na⁺ Cleo rack in its basement. When the building fills up in the morning and its demand peaks, the Cleo supplies the peak through its inverter, so the grid draw stays under the demand limit. The roof’s solar tops it back up.
- Seven Power Module drawers in series: 42 kWh, 210 kW
- Each drawer holds thirty 70 Ah sodium-ion cells
- The wall chart shows grid demand held under the limit
Our Sodium Chromium Oxide (NCO) cathode is engineered to deliver the safety, power, and long cycle life that define UNIGRID®’s sodium-ion technology.
Manufactured at commercial scale, our NCO production enables consistent quality, reliable performance, and readiness for large-volume deployment.
By producing our own cathode material, UNIGRID strengthens supply chain security while maintaining control over quality from powder to finished battery.
Our NCO cathode doesn’t release oxygen under heat, and its transition metal stays locked in place, even during thermal runaway. No fire, no propagation.

The international transport safety standard for lithium and sodium-ion cells, independently verified to withstand the rigors of shipping — including altitude simulation, thermal cycling, vibration, shock, and short circuit.
The industry standard for evaluating thermal runaway fire propagation in battery energy storage systems, independently tested to confirm our cells don’t propagate fire from one cell to the next.
The international safety standard for industrial lithium and sodium-ion cells, independently verified for safe operation under abnormal conditions like overcharge, short circuit, and crush.
